Question by Michigan Fan: What are some basic lawn tools I should buy for my first house?
I plan on spending about 0 right away on some things. I currently don’t have really anything. My next door neighbor is going to let me borrow his weedeater and lawnmower. So with 0 to spend, what are things I’m going to need and use quite frequently that I can get with this money?

I can’t get along without my loppers. They work great for trimming bushes into natural shapes (instead of boxes and gumdrops). You might want to get a leaf catcher for the lawnmower. A good rake is indispensable along with a wheelbarrow or cart for hauling piles of leaves to the compost bin or to flower beds. A shovel for digging new flower beds or tree holes and I think that’s about it.
