		<description>I did the same job a few weeks ago. I used seed and after 1 month Its almost ready to cut. Much cheaper than turf.

Firstly remove the existing grass which is hard work. Pick and shovel job. Then beat the soil with a shovel and rake out the grass. Level the top soil with a rake.

The next step is to buy your seed. I suggest wilkinsons hardare and Diy chain. I bought mine there and it cost about £20 which was the only cost. Turf probably would have cost £300-400.

Spread the seed evenly  and rake lightly. I watered the garden every day and its now growing nicely.
