Residents need to take personal responsibility, not have regulations
I cannot believe how far some will go with regulations! What ever happened to “personal responsibility?” I am referring to the proposed “Lawn watering ordinance” that some environmental zealots would like to force on the citizens of West Milford. I can’t imagine a permanent ban on the use of water.

The first US patent with the title “lawn sprinkler” was issued to J. Lessler of Buffalo, New York in 1871 (#121949). Early examples of water-propelled, rotating lawn sprinklers were patented by J. Oswald in 1890 (#425340) and J. S. Woolsey in 1891 (#457099) among a gazillion others.
