I like the pattern of the water with this sprinkler. Also, it covers a lot of area tossing water up and out. It looks cool with the water pattern spinning into the air especially with the sun shinning on it. Very effective visually as well as functionally. Get it!

Some time ago I needed a couple sprinklers, one for the front yard and one for the back. I bought two of these Nelson Metal whirling sprinklers. Frankly, I haven’t been very satisfied with this product. They seemed to work rather well at first. Then a little bit of corrosion of the metal parts set in. The whirling thingy became reluctant to whirl. I tried a number of cures, including a dose of WD-40. It helped. However, in order to properly whirl, the water now has to be fully on otherwise it just won’t work. Next, I noticed that the sprinkler leaks badly around the hose junction and around the base of the whirler. Let’s face it, these sprinklers are just little pieces of junk. I still use mine, but I feel somewhat annoyed every time. If you’re looking for a sprinkler, you could probably find a better one.

I bought this sprinkler, and it worked, MAYBE 6 or 7 times, and then all the sudden, stopped rotating…. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with it…. But it stopped working for no reason and turned out to be a waste of money. Period. Seller was awesome, product, lame.

My family owned this same Nelson 3-Arm when I was a kid. I now have 3 of my very own. They put water right where you want it. These sprinklers also continue to work nicely even when exposed to hard, rusty, well water. They are fabricated from metal and have weathered many hot summers. I broke the one I ran over with my truck, so……. they are not indestructible. Close enough though!

We ordered this sprinkler for two reasons: We thought it could replace the Nelson N-65 we had and because we read the review about the adjustable brass tips on the 3 arm “new & improved” Nelson sprinkler…Well to our disappointment the new sprinkler does not have adjustable brass tips like the old model. The water flow angle can Not be adjusted. Nelson discontinue a wonderful product, it’s replacement is a wash-out.
