This GrassSaver Grass kit DOES work, but you have to be extremely patient with it. It took me several weeks until the results of using this product finally came into effect. Then again, my yard tends to be a LOT more stubborn than most peoples yards when it comes to growing things effectively, so that's probably just a problem I had, and who knows? Maybe most people won't have the same problem. Anyway, just be patient with this grass seed patch kit, and don't expect instant results or you will be disappointed.

This species will take over. It is difficult to remove. It was introduced by CalTrans from Argentina to support banks and prevent erosion. It is a pest in N. America.

We live in area #4 for growing plants. I planted these seeds separately in a special seed bed, with excellent topsoil and watered well. None of the seeds germinated.

Only 2 out of 200 germinated. Poor quality. See other seed reviews on this seller - many buyers have complained about germination.

I decided to try these seeds and grow my own Ornamental Grass because I just didn't want to pay $15 plus $7 shipping/handling for a small live Pampas plant in a little-bitty 3inch pot from one of the larger mail-order nurseries. I actually bought 5 varieties of ornamental grass seeds thinking that I'd be very happy if just 3 or 4 actually grew. WOW! I planted the seeds and was very surprised and happy when just 3 days later I had little sprouts in 4 of my 5 planters. The other one took a few days longer to come up but it's doing great, too! I actually only planted 1/2 of the seeds because I decided to save back some to try with again if my first attempt failed. I was also very happy with the service from Hirt's. My seeds arrived quickly and were labeled with basic, easy planting instructions.

Update (almost a year later)- It's been a very hot, dry summer here in East Texas this year. My ornamental grass is looking good and growing.
